I just pulled out my flex fan. I have a 16 inch electric fan already in the front. I bought it from discount auto parts. If i bought another one of the same design will it be enough to cool my engine. I have a 225 v6. and a 3 row radiator. The fan pushes alot of air. I am tired of the metal fan and with my ift i put i cannot drop the radiater any more.
Thanks for any help

I would imagine that one 16" would cool a V-6 just fine. I had one on my 304 and it did O.K.. I would recommend mounting it to a shroud in order to use the entire radiator area and also to brace it if you have the room. I trashed a radiator after I upgraded to a warmed over 360 and got the frontend up in the air. The water pump pulley hit the fan motor and shoved it most of the way through the radiator. I now run a 10" and 12" side by side on an aluminum shroud in order to provide more clearance and bracing for the radiator as well.

hey there,

I just put in an electric fan in my CJ. Take a look at my site and there will be a picture. As of yet, it has worked fine. It came from a car. In the summer I do plan on adding a second fan between the radiator and the grill in case my luck changes.

Take care.
