There is a lot that is interchangeable between Commandos and CJs. The two shared the same drivetrain. The axles in CJs might be slightly different width but will bolt to the springs in a Commando. I don't think that the windshield frames will swap though unfortunately.

Nope - none of the body parts switch back and forth between the CJ and Commando (unless you want to get real creative) except for the front clips with a little bit of work.

I just sold my last perfect windshield frame and glass. They come up for sale time to time on Ebay. You could post a "Wanted" ad in the classified section. I think just about everyone here has a few parts Commandos lying around.

Don Fletcher, Mark Vilbert, Toad and a few others are good direct sources as well.

I have a windshield frame with glass still in place.... decent condition.. glass has small "star" shaped crack near the rubber/ near right windshield wiper.. Just taken it off parts veh that I sent remains to crusher. Haven't had time to think about what I would ask for it..
