whats a torque plate???????? and what does it do for you???? ok i admit i'm a dummy dont know the use of this part

The thing next to the flux capacitor. Just kiddin'.
I have know idea what a torque plate is. Is there such a thing?
That's the question I'm asking. Anyone? If I had to guess it would be related to the clutch somehow. But this is for my own personal trivia only. Do not use this reply for info.

I believe the "flex plate" takes the place of a flywheel in cars with automatic transmissions. The "torque converter" bolts to it. Is that what you're thinking about?

At work, it is a plate that distributes the torque and load evenaly (theoreticaly) accross a surface it attaches to. It can also be used to protect the surface of the part under it.

I believe it replaces the flywheel in auto's, I believe it's also called a flex plate sometimes.

i bet that l ast 1 is what i was lookin for..... saw 1 on D parkers web site was just curious
