Ok i'm looking to purchase a used quad. But I have a problem b/c I can not decide what i want. I am 6'4" and 220 pounds. I want something that is fast(and that I can make faster with more money), something that i can trail ride with, and something that can still handle a motorcross track and freestyle ramps. I think I have narrowed it down to either a yamaha warrior, or an old honda trx 250r, maybe a banshee. (i really want the new yamaha 450, but can't afford it right now) Anyone out there with opinons, please help.

well all 3 bikes you listed have a aftermarket background

i personaly would take the honda but thats just cuze i own one

If you plan on racing, jumping and going fast, stay away from the Warrior. The Warrior is a killer trail quad, but heavy and under powered.

From what you stated as your needs, the Honda 250R would be your best choise. Tons of mods, good power, good handling, light weight.

The Banshee is good to, but nothing compared to the 250!

I would have to agree with everybody else about the 250R being the best choice out of those quads you listed, however you might feel a little cramped on it since you're 6'4. If you get one you might look for one of the taller desert seats, and a handle bar riser to give you more room. You also left out the 400ex which has a little more room than the 250R and also has a lot of available mods. The Raptor handles great once you add some suspension mods, and the torquey 660 engine does well with a larger rider such as yourself. Good Luck with your decision.

Why not a Cannondale Blaze ?

The price is very low and you don't have to put any more money into it.

I agree the raptor or 400ex are great choices because they not only would fit you well, but you can also find them used for pretty cheap, good luck

a nice 250r that hasnt been beat and is reliable is going to be a bit hard to find, they are about 18 or 15 years old now
