Pulling steering wheel (will any puller work)

Hey Guys,
Title pretty much sums up my question. Will a standard wheel puller (PEP boys, Sears, etc) work or
do I need a specific Chrysler puller? My XJ is a 94.

Thanks NHxj4x4.. I was fairly sure a generic puller would work, but my FSM was a bit vague on it.

BTW, Keene's a great area. I pass through each time I head up to the Presidentials.

You might need something to pull the lock spring out, its been some time sence I have taken apart a Jeep steering wheel apart...andy

yeah, you will need the lock spring tool thing... I just took apart my buddies to tighten up the tilt and ugh, what a chore.
