Has anyone rebuilt their power steering box? I have a 83 CJ 7 258 with power steering and it leaks like a sive. I can get a rebuild kit from auto zone for $31.00. A new gear is anywhere from $200.00 (auto zone) to 265.00 (AGR steering box). I have a list of mods palnned so $31.00 bucks sounds better if it will get me a year or two. Any info would be appreciated.

ARe you sure it's not leaking from where the hoses connect? Since it's post 1980 you should have O rings on the hoses. Those break down. Check here first.
