I am swapping a chevy 350 into my 83 CJ7. I have a power steering box so I figured it would be good if I hooked up the pump too. I have a stock Jeep pump off of an I-6, and I have the stock pump on the chevy engine. I think the hose connections are different. Has anyone done this before? And if so how did you do it? By the way it is an older chevy engine, like pre 79 I think

The only difference you might hit, is one may be the o-ring type pressure line. All you have to do is take the hose fitting out of the jeep pump and put it in place of the one on the chevy. Then it's just a matter of bending the lines. When you take the fitting out, be carefull,it has a spring behind the pressure valve that might shoot out at you.
