Has anyone ever put power brakes on a CJ-7 with manual brakes? I have a 77 with manual, and fear for my life whenever I drive because it's the first vehicle I've ever driven with manual and I'd much rather have power...Do I need a new master cylinder and or brake pedal? What all is involved?

I haven't done this yet myself, but I've heard of folks making this conversion. Some places that part out jeeps, like Collins Brothers (800-699-JEEP), sell this conversion kit for about $250-300 (I think). I've been told that hunting down some of the parts to do the conversion is can be difficult unless you get them from a place like Collins Brothers or a dealer. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure, but I thought It was cjjeepercreeper that did the hydro boost conversion. I can't fine the page, but it was a real nice write up.

I'm in the process of doing this on my 79 cj-5 right now. I bought the power booster and master cylinder from a 94 wrangler for $40
and some line fitting adapters. I haven't installed it yet I've been too busy lately but I'll keep you up to date if you like.

I just did this to my 85 CJ7 using a booster and master cylinder from an 86 Commanche. [command] I had to drill new holes for the bolts, enlarge the center hole slightly, use brake line adapters, and put 5/8 inch spacers between the booster and the firewall. I can give you more detailed information if you want it.

Good luck

Wasn't me, it was that other 4 corners guy, John Foutz, aka Jaffer. His website is http://www.monsterslayer.com/jeep
