Re: Help with Buying Decision

David, I say this with the utmost confidence......buy a Polaris Sportsman 4x4. I don't know what size engine you want, but my 400 is unstoppable. It rides like a cadillac on any terrain available and it's great for plowing snow too. It may be somewhat on the expensive side, but the quad makes up for itself 10 fold. As for putting 2 people on it, don't worry about it. My family is a bunch of avid hunters and we take quads into the woods with us. We've had up to 4 or 5 people on my quad (swear to God) and there was no problem (of course I was driving extra slow as to not send someone flying off the front rack). But as for riding the quad with your wife on the back......not a problem at all. My girlfriend and I ride my Polaris every weekend and we ride the quad together.

Good Luck. Let us know what you wind up getting.

Re: Help with Buying Decision

Almost any 4X4 atv will ride 2 people, however like previous post, if the trails aren't flat/no mud/no hills/no pavement then a simple manuever could be interesting because of the extra weight. If I can't talk you out of it then look at the Polaris Sportsman 500, its the bigest and smoothist atv made.

don't even worry about terrain that's not flat. just inform your "passenger" which way to lean and you'll be fine. i've never had a problem.
