Hell, I agree totally. I plan on using a lot of John Deere parts when building my truck. I haven't thought too much about articulated steering because I want to be very streetable. I agree though, some of the industrial equipment has direct applications to off-roading and the parts would be nearly indestructable in light truck applicaions.

Here you go undertow, This is the preferred weapon of choice in my AO.
Personally we run five of these of various sizes, three cable, and two grapple.

That'd be cool and all, but I swear some tree hugger is going to come by, get this post, and say - "Look, not only do they tear up the ground and kill animals, now they want to take the trees away too, AHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

I actually enjoy a good lager now and then./wwwthreads_images/icons/laugh.gif Primarily I'm envious of the tires that you can get for those skidders and such. Wish they'd make tires with tread like that for a 15" rim!/wwwthreads_images/icons/cool.gif
