Hell, I agree totally. I plan on using a lot of John Deere parts when building my truck. I haven't thought too much about articulated steering because I want to be very streetable. I agree though, some of the industrial equipment has direct applications to off-roading and the parts would be nearly indestructable in light truck applicaions.

That'd be cool and all, but I swear some tree hugger is going to come by, get this post, and say - "Look, not only do they tear up the ground and kill animals, now they want to take the trees away too, AHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
