I,am changing engines in my 88.5 sammi and while doing
this I was thinking of putting on the pony carb that I have.
Is it worth getting rid of the stock carb it seems to work ok for now.I,am wheeling it but not to hard. Around our place its a long walk out of the bush.

a good running stock carb will start and run flawless similar to EFI. i toss the stockers in the scap pile when they take a $hit. my bro has a pony carb on his and it works really well. i like how well the stock ones start and run in the cold weather. i don't care for the 15,000 feet of vacume hoses or the electrical selonoids that go bad and won't be fixed with a rebuild kit.
