Please Help!

I have a 93 s10 4x4 and my hood release cable has come undone under the hood so I can't open it. Does anyone know how to get the latch open without pulling the release in the cab. I can pull the release but it just slides back and forth. Any ideas?

Ok. I do not know for sure but I would pull the grill and see if I could get a hold of the unlatch mech. with a pair of vise grips or pliers. I think you should be able to reach it that way. Good luck.

Get a flash light and look in between the grill and the hood, just to the right of the center of the hood. you should see the little part that the wire hooks to(might want to look at some one elses to know exactly what I am talking about) You can just push that in with a screw driver and the hood will pop. I had to do this for about 3 weeks on my old jimmy. the cable is not too hard to change once you get it open. Good Luck
