Please help Project Jeep

When I pulled my engine yesterday I finally got a good look at the tranny. It rocks from side to side even while bolted to the skidplate. Is this normal or are my tranny mounts shot??

the stock mounts are made of plain rubber, they will rock a little, but it is in your best interest to put polyurethane ones in anyway.. i break a lot of tranny mounts

Yes your tranny is mounted so it will rock back and forth, goes with the torque of the engine. and i would also put poly mounts in.. with some heavy bolts.
