just trying to figure out how to post pics.. with this new (****ty) 40 dollars digi cam.. How do you make the white border go away after I shrank it down...Also how do you make it attach more than one pic at a time??

Anyways here is the motor specs.

The motor is swift gt motor with 25,000 origional miles.. here is the specs.. i will get pics of my rig up shortly, sorry for the not so prerfect pics..but it's a 40 dollar camera.. I still got to buy a few nore items..

- pull Fuel injec. and wiring/computer to sell..

- Run dual mikuni (just rebuilt) 40phh sidedrafts off of a custom manifold made in panama..

- Mallory hyfire VAL (built in rev control) to run the beast

- Cut hole in my firewall so the sami mechanical disty will fit..

- low pressure elec. fuel pump, holley fuel pressure reg.

- 10,000 tach..

- 4-2 header, mandrel bent 2in. hi flow exaust

First right your msg and press continue ~ next press brouse and then go to where ever your picture file is stored and then click on the picture or url . That will put it in the line next to the brouse word , press continue again. that should do it!

I'll be doing this same swap this winter, except I'm going to use the multi port EFI that came with the motor (for better mileage than dual side drafts).

What will you be running for a header/exhaust manifold? I've been told the stock GTi manifold will interfere with the drivers side motor mount with a 1.3. I checked and it looks like it will. I've seen the stock manifold used with a 1.6 block but never a 1.3.

When xfaktor did this swap he didn't need to modify his firewall because he used a different rotor and cap which supposedly work just fine. (incase you didn't know about that)

Did you try fitting it without the shield?? I am probably going to run a 4-2 header.. I will either have one built or buy one.. But at the bottom flange on the header/manifold it needs to be custom routed out the back.. So I might just go custom header instead of chopping a $ company header... I have seen a couple other sami's with the DOHC swift motor so it won't be to much of a problem..they are all efi..so this project is kind of the guinee pig as far as I know.. it will put out more hp then the stock swift (100hp), this gt motor with dual 40mm I am figuring 120-125.. i will probably go for a dyno run..anyways.. up at South Seattle Community College. i will check into what x-factor did about the disy..

later, scott

Anymore tips on amkeing the pics how up without clicking the link in the error part?

I am not sure about xfactors disty swap working for me.. I cannot use the swift gt disty unless it is run with a timing advance system separate..(electromotive makes one) because without the computer for the disty to run off of, the timing would not advance properly.. So i will be trying to use a samuri (g13a) disty, it is mechanical therefore will work for my dual carb aplication.. I am not 100% sure if it will fit, or can be made to work, but have been told by several people that it will work.. if the mazda cap will work on the sami disty then yes I will definently do that.. Thanks for that info..it is helpful..

This may be of interest to you. At zukimelt I saw a zuk that had a setup very similar to what you are doing. I don't remember if he was using a 1.3 or 1.6 block, but for sure he had a GTi head, dual webers, and GTi distributor. The header looks home made to me.

As for the GTi manifold, no I haven't tried fitting it on at all. All I've done is compared the 2 with pictures I have and by the looks of it, the collector part of the manifold will hit the motor mount. I'll build something If I need to though.

I'll post a few pictures of that zuk.

Are you sure he was running a gt disty? if so do you know what he did about timing advance?

the samurai distributor wont work without a adapter since it points up from the cam where the swift one is parell with the cam you might however be able to use a 8 valve swift distributor I can try to get a pix of one later I happen to have one i have been saving for the internal parts incase i ever need them for my samurai
