I'm trying to make a decision. I need to see some pictures of jeeps with full width axles from a full size truck. Not much came up in the search. I prefer driveway type pictures where the axles aren't all twisted up, but if you have any others, that'd be OK too. Please list what truck they came from, axle width, and wheel and tire size. Thanks.

If you want to know who I am replying to, why don't you look at the item in red behind the title in my reply. If I read right (which I can) I was replying to Jeep God-re:jeepgod. Get it???? It is pretty handy. There are a few of use who have figured out that you reply to the people you want the email to go to. Take for instance you replied to me. I just happened to buy those axles off Jeep God yesterday so it is a joke between Jeep God and myself and was meant to be funny. Another hint was the Moonguy with the stupid look on his face.

I hate to say this but it is going to be a while. This is a big step forward-most have still been in the tear down stage. I have the suspension except for the shocks bought, just doing the SOA and outboarding thing. Then rebuild the T18, TC done. Motor machine shop work is done, just asssembly and some more odds and ends to buy. Big thing there is the $$ for the intake and getting a Quadrajet to work on it. Also doing the TR upgrade too. I think the initial engine fire up will be a very big drunk fest!! I then have to buy a fiberglass body and build a new cage. Man am I tired! Goal this year for the drive train, early next for the body. Got the goal of May '04 for the Badlands bash to be there in the seat. That might even be the first big run for it.

Ryan,
the axles under my Jeep are full width truck axles. Chevy of course! Front is a D44 rear is a 14 bolt. The rims for now are 15x10's with 39.5x18 Boggers on them. After I get the Jeep farther along I am gonna buy 15x12's for the boggers and some 37's or so to put on the 15x10s for the street.
You can look on www.Mudmaniac.com click on the link "Brutus". There you will find some more pics. If you have any questions dont hesitate to ask. Wade

I am currently doing this swap on my '85 CJ-7 and will get pics posted asap. I am not too far from done, but I only have the front installed and will get the rear installed probably this weekend... Also, check out AVALANCHE ENGINEERING's website, I think it is now POISON SPYDER CUSTOMS, but at any rate, here is the url: www.avalancheengr.com/shared.html.

They also have a really cool kit that will allow you to relocate your spring mounts on your frame to coincide with the axles. Good luck.

In reply to:

Wally, those are waggy axles, right? If not, what size tires and wheels are those with what back spacing?

[/ QUOTE ] Yep full size waggy's.... Plus the the offset are I think 3 inch. I have just put my new tires and rims on and the rew rims are on center.
