So this year was the zukiwash ? We had waterspouts here today . So whats the deal with the dual setup ? What kind of windup issues are there ? Does it leak ? What other secrets you got up your sleeve rockrat ??

And here is proof once again.....Balls Deep....it's not just an expression!!!!

I set a new high water mark here, at one point the water was touching the steering wheel(no snorkel!!), and it still kept running, and managed to back out the first time....of course I had to try it again, and got pulled out the second time!! I ended u finishing my weekend in this same pond....showing off of the camera, I blasted down the sand hill behind the pond in 2nd gear, and hit the pond HARD!! had to be towed back to the parking lot

Ralph and John didnt have the seals or shifters in when I looked at the setup. They have been running this setup for quite a few yrs without problems. oiling is not a problem, vents are still on top. Oiling is not generaly the problem but leaking is. I so no evidence of leaking from there setup. Not to mention they were one of 2 rigs in the open class to finish the Rock rage course we setup and in record time of 4min....
Most rigs didnt make it to the 1/2 way point in 15 min.. were they timed out

Hey, cool pic!

the "SJ-425" scored 16 points LESS than the stiffie winner (216 vs 232), and he had a Tracker with the SAME wheelbase!

Got home safe and sound -- the "SJ 425"'s starter relay problem was dirt, I think. (Bulldog, Bird, Trail, and Brandy push-started it at Steam Corners). The dirt got shook out somewhere on US 136 south of Peoria..

What a great trip....

I was there for the first night... the storms, the tornados... waking up at 2am with the tent literally filling up with water... I was not a happy camper. At all.

Things got better though..

The whole event seemed to have a "different" feel to it this year -- everyone seemed to keep to themselves I noticed -- there wasn't a lot of intermingling. Am I the only one that noticed that or was I just not in the right places?

I hated leaving.. having to pack and leave it all behind..

THe night run.. oh god... what a fiasco. I can't think of ANYTHING that went right.

I'd do it all agian in a heartbeat.

You know Brent.... you're right.

What we had that night was an excellent example of teamwork and keeping a cool head. I'm trying to think of the chain of events...

Got to the lot... realized nobody had a clue...

Got a clue, realized we had 50 people on the night run...

Got halfway into the yellow trail, realized that another group had come the other way, and we were head to head in the ravine.

Realize we would have to start backing up through the ravine and go back to where we started.

The rain decided now wouldbe a good time to say "hello."

Got to the quarry... got a cal on the CB.. "We're lost, we thought we were on the blue trail..."

So Ack and I go out on the blue trail looking for these guys... turns out they made it back.

Got back to the quarry... started sending people back to the camp... Smitty has a flat and no spare...

Then sent the rest of everyone back.. got another call on the CB... "I'm in the dunes, I have 2 wheel drive."

"Which dunes?"

"I dont know."

Beautiful.

This is where the search and rescue came in... EXCELLENT work with Brent and Heather, Jim Cambron sitting in my passenger seat, and ... who was that guy in the white tracker wit hthe winch?

Good work gentlemen!

Murph and I had a ball playing "find the lost sami" in the middle of the dunes! Who would have ever thought you could see a flashlight that well on a moon lit night...lol
Had a blast this year guys! I'm already making plans for next year!
