the only way i know how to do it is go into some type of picture program like photoshop or something and resave it as a *.jpg and when it asks for compression quality select LOW, that drops the space it takes up. not much help i know, maybe you can figure it out from that

What I always do is just shrink it, keeping the proportions intact, until it is small enough. Most Photo editing programs have a
resizing function.
