The last two are after we got home from Rich Mountain. Funny, no one got stuck the whole weekend - guess what happened when we got home? /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif

What kinda milk Brian? Whole, 2%, or skim?? /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif
Yeah, I know, the sidekick's not as good as the Sammi off-road, /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif but it makes a great daily driver (smooth ride, comfortable, A/C) and can have a little fun too. It does have a few upgrades in store for it when I get the $$$ (I'm restoring a Heep right now, so no extra cash). Nothin' too wild, but probably some bigger tires and skid plates.
It's amazing the difference the tires make. I've got stock tires, and I scraped on the rocks several times on that trip. That red Zuk in the pics is identical to mine, but sits on 235/70R15 Pirelli Scorpian A/T's - he didn't scrape once and it handles sooooo much better in the mud.

We usually ride in the North GA Mountains and a few local trails (I live just south of Atlanta). Nothing too hardcore around here, but there are a few places you can get stuck really bad (found that out the hardway) A couple of weeks ago we got a Nissan pickup (I think it's got 31's) stuck so bad it took two trucks and about 3hours to get it out.
I think I'm gonna start venturing out a little further, tho.
I'm thinking about going to Zuwharrie next month, but I'll probably go there in the Jeep so I don't destroy the sidekick.

Hey JHS, didn't know if you saw my last post with all this confusion going on. I'm interested in riding with your club some time and just wondering when and where your next run is?? You can shoot me an email at flippers@bellsouth.net if you like

Hey! A 4 door Kick! I'm not the only one in the universe! Mine is totally stock, BUT the Calmini header and hi-perf exhaust go on TOMORROW, and I gotta get a lift kit, bigger rubber, and belly armor. Currently, I'm running Bridgestone Dueler A/T's on mine, and it corners GREAT in the Colorado mountains where I live - you find out that the experience of the person behind the wheel has a lot more to do with how a vehicle handles, than the rest of it - I often out corner sports cars, 'cause they're too busy jumping on the brakes in turns.

Oh, yeah - I guess the stereo was the first thing I upgraded - Sony MiniDisk system, Rockford Fosgate 400a4 amp bridged into a pair of Rockford Truck Boxes. No air conditioning, so I need a LOT of sound, when driving 75 with the windows down!!! Most people are blown away to hear that much sound, and see an old fart behind the wheel, but if it's too loud, you're too old!

Bob

Hang up and drive - preferably to another state, where you flatlander yuppies aren't slamming on your brakes in front of me, 'cause you don't know how to drive on roads that aren't straight and flat!
