\"Perfect Seal\"

OK, time for another "can you tell this is my first time doing engine work" question. :)

The FSM says I should use "Perfect Seal," or equivalent, around the new timing cover oil seal before I put it into the cover. Anyone know what this is? They don't have it at AutoZone and the only thing I found on the 'net was for some sort of caulk. Is this the stuff?

The vehicle is an 87 YJ, though the FSM for my 98 TJ also says to use Perfect Seal, so the product must still be around....

Re: \"Perfect Seal\"

Permatex makes a sealer called HPF, it's blue and real sticky and impervious to every fluid in your vehicle. That's what I use in
applications such as what you are talking about.
