Pathfinder engine

What year did the Pathfinder engine go from the throttle body injection to the port injection? What's the engine name for the port injection too? I'm thinking about trading in the old 720 for an original Pathfinder. My dad had an old 2 door which I liked a lot. Don't get me wrong, I love my 720 to death. It's just that I'd like a little more power and the extra passenger room would be very nice to.

The VG30E engine in the 300ZX was only from 84-89. The later 300ZX's (90-96 in the US and 90-today in Japan)used the VG30DE. Just being nitpicky Chris - hehe. I believe ScottJ has the correct info (the 4 cylinders also switched their injection in 1990 as well- different engine though.)

I think Chris has been lieing all this time about being in Canada. I think he is locked up in some institution somewhere. That man just has way too much time on his hands. You may ask "if he's in an instatute, than what about his pathfinder?" Simple: We can all tell he is pretty good at this puter stuff. I think it is just a bunch of modified photo's. Chris you and Rockjaw are a trip. You two must have played with Nissan symbols as children. And dang Bernie, at this rate I'll soon be the only 720 guy on this board but believe me I understand. I can feel the pull of the Xterras and other such beasts and the ol' truck is starting to look and feel its age. If Nissan just made a solid axle straight six... well maybe I want a 4 liter Jeep Cherokee? nahh 720s forever!

Nissan does make a straight axle six.It's called a patrol,and lo and behold......it's a diesel.3,2 L inline six,with a nice sound to it.

Getting there,is more fun than being there.

Damn! Imagine my distress to learn that my very existance may be the result of a rye saturated thought process. However, I am sure that I was created as an alter ego... intelligent, witty, handsome... did I mention intelligent??? And lets not forget my most obvious trait... I am completly versed in the fine art of Bull$hit. The more I think about it the more I believe that I may be a legend in Chris's own mind.

Wow...I leave you guys alone for one weekend and look what you do. I "thought" it was a simple question. But then again, we all have pretty simple minds which are easily amused. And don't get me wrong, I love being easily amused. And yeah Charlie, I felt pretty guilty writing that post. I love my truck. But if it's any consolation to ya, I won't sell the 720. My dad can still use it to get fire wood. Thanks for all the info by the way, you guys are good.
