is spent a 6 months in japan. the suzuki over there are called jimny's. the have 3 banger motors on them. the wheel base is even smaller than the ones here. i can't think of much that you would be able to use. i don't know what you have in mind though. all the suzuki over there come with the emergency brake thing on the x-case. i have a buddy going over in july i'm going to have them send me one back. big time lanquage gap also.

>>Will a credit card company take care of the currency exchange?

Yes. I use my VISA all the time while traveling - NEVER had any problems anywhere in the world. You'll get the detailed exchange rates/originall amounts on your next statement. However, you may want to check with your C/Card rep. BEFORE you make a purchase: sometimes they will charge you an outrageous exchange rate, so beware.

Hope it helps

Hey guys,
I live in Germany and I've got two Suzuki dealers within about 10 miles of me. They've sold Suzuki Jeeps here for about the past 30 years and the dealer still has a multitude of parts available. A couple of years ago I bought a brand new SJ410 grill so I know that's still available-not sure about the mirrors though. I seem to recall those old mirrors (same as the 86 model year) were really awful-never stayed in place and were always getting blown around in the wind.

I Will check if they can still get them and if their price is worth exporting to USA. This is a part that probably wasn't built in spain so they might be expensive. I will see

I sent an e-mail to Suzuki John yesterday:

"In a message dated 6/19/01 3:13:11 PM Pacific Daylight Time,
Are these mirrors listed on your site the 1986 and earlier SJ413/410 mirrors
that mount on the side of the cowl?
"OUTSIDE MIRRORS...EARLY MODEL METAL FRAMED...$40.00 EACH SIDE "

Thanks.

Suzuki John:

NO...THEY MOUNT TO THE DOORS....

Thanks for the suggestion though -- another site to add to my favorites list.

I'll be back.
