Part #\'s T/O Bearing and front U-joints

I wrote down the throwout bearing # in the hard clutch cure writeup when I pulled my tranny a while back. None of the parts stores could cross it. PO had already put in a long GM throwout bearing, and I spent all day trying to find a match for it. I finally got a helpful guy that let me go in the back and we both opened boxes 'til we found one about 1/8" shorter. I have to go back in to deal with my pilot bushing, so if somebody has a good number I'd appreciate it.
I didn't waste a lot of time on the front U-joints. First couple places gave me the wrong thing or said they didn't have them, so I just left the front shaft out. I actually have a little Spicer ruler I got at a show I could measure one with, but if somebody has the number for that it'd save me some hassle. I have a '71 with T-14 and D30.

Thanks,
Steve.

the number listed in the hard clutch cure is brg n1086sa which is a good napa part number. is this not the correct one? i planned to use that info in the future. have not had time to research the u joints yet. does it have the stock factory driveshaft. does it have a carrier bearing? joe.

Yeah, stock driveshaft with carrier bearing. I can't find the hard clutch cure at the moment, but I remember for sure there was a 1086 in the number. I couldn't find anything like that in the books. I just checked your number on Napa's website, and it looks like it's good. $44.99!!!!!??? Hope THAT'S a typo!

Thanks,
Steve.

Hmmm...
this was a couple months ago, but I know that was the number I had. Got the clutch at Napa and they couldn't find that number. Went to a decent local chain next, and they couldn't find it in their books. O'Reilly and Autozone nothing. Went back to O'Reilly because I was too far from Napa, and they are always helpful. That was where I started looking for long boxes and opening them. If I remember right, the one I got didn't have any kind of stop to keep it from spinning on the fork, but I needed something. I just got a cheap disc and put it in. I was more focused on the pilot bushing issue, and had Sunday to find the parts, get them in, and reinstall the tranny by myself. Jeepster was sitting in the middle of the shop floor and had to be gone Monday morning. I'll put a Centerforce clutch in when I get this pilot bushing thing fixed right.
Like I said above, looks like this IS a good number, though. I don't know why I couldn't find Rrich's post before- no problem now. I used to have it saved as a favorite, but reformatted my hard drive and lost old favorites.
So how is the shifter supposed to come out?

Steve.
