OK so i have been reading some threads on here about people having their jeeps overheat but I can still not figure out what is causing mine to overheat.
I have replaced heater hoses, heater core, radiator hoses, radiator, water pump, and thermostat. I have flushed it many times trying different flushes and i have taken the head off and had it inspected and cleaned up and put new gaskets on. I have tried everything i know to do and I am at the end of my rope. Can the water jackets in the block be blocked up too much even though I have flushed the crap out of it?

I drive a 99 wrangler tj with 4.0 I6

I don’t see where you replaced the water pump but the other reason for overheating can be a failing head gasket. A quick check of the dipstick will tell if any coolant has made its way into the oil (it will be milky) but another check for the head gasket is to take off the radiator cap when the system is cold then start the engine and watch the coolant at the filler. If you see bubbles the head gasket could be on its way out.

I have replaced both the water pump and head gasket. The funny thing is that it only over heated when I am running more than like 1800 rpm. If it starts to overheat than i can just slow down and it will just cool off.

as i understand it, a lean carb will cause over heating as will late exhaust timing. sometimes a mechanic will monkey with mix and timing to get an engine to pass smog test but not necessarily for the best economy, or life of the engine. I would start with checking the timing and go from there.
