OK time to post up. What did Santa bring you?
I got one of the short rolling stools, a BIG bottle of Captain Morgan and a Mig welder. Talk about a dangerous combination /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Only done the exchange with The Lovely Jeep Wife and her side of the family, we get my family on Wednesday night.

FSM for the CTD (1400 pages of "how too")
A silver key chain for the CTD keys ("you know you need a 'dress up' key chain...")
New leather wrap for the CTD steering wheel (it needs it)
And the biggie this year, the IBM T41 I'm typing on now...

The Lovely Jeep Wife and I usually pool our "gift funds" for each other every year (she finds something she wants to give me, I find something she wants) then, instead of getting the gift, put it towards more panels or inverter upgrades or new batteries for our Solar back up system...Someday (about the time I'm to old to climb on my roof) we'll be able to cut Duke Power off.../ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Great stuff!

GPS accessories - a case, 12v power cord, and dash mount.
Maps of Maine.
A detailed map and a few books on Baxter State Park and Mount Katahdin. (Mount Katahdin is the Northern end of the Appalachian Trail. We hope to make an extended Jeep trip to Northern Maine this summer.)

A new backpack (a real pack, not a "bookbag")
A 2006 Jeep calendar, and a Get Fuzzy desk calendar for work (that's one funny strip. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif)

Merry Christmas to all!

Outstanding !

Just a trailer away from being at the Bash in May with the CJ-5. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

That's great Ed.

Santa dropped off an Aussie Locker for the front of my junk so that it will be locked at both ends but still horizontally challenged.

didnt actually get much "stuff"

little cash and cards was all

however--the family is all healthy, my sister came over from san jose(really made moms' day), as well as several of the nieces/nephews that i just dont see that often

fantabulous christmas dinner in the homestead--just like back in the day with about 20 of us in the house--really brought back memories

BTW i fully agree with mach2, that series is RIVETING-a bunch of true american HEROES

I got a rock. Guess I wasn't very good this year.

You need to start doing like I do. I always get myself a few nice things for Christmas just incase it's a disappointing year.

The wife got me a nice laptop, I was impressed.
I had already gotton myself a new custom top for the Kaiser (hasn't come in yet), a new air compressor, and a turkey frier. Thinking about getting myself some weld on beadlocks for my birthday (tomorrow)......

If it's a good sized rock it ain't so bad. I've been eyeballing putting a rock next to our driveway so I can use it like an RTI ramp, check, test, and measure suspension stuff. One like in my avitar would be nice.

Then I got all kinds of Dora the explorer toys to assemble.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, that's what's important. I got to play with my 2 nieces (1-1/2 and 2-1/2) quite a bit over the break. I hear all about Dora the explorer, Bear and the Big Blue House, the Wiggles, JoJo, etc., etc. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

My sisters and brother-in-law got me a Charles Daily .45 Auto.
(one of John M. Brownings Finest!)
And some framed baby pictures of me I didn't know existed. (Very Cool!)

My girl friend got me Black & Decker 18 volt combo pack with Drill, Reciprocating Saw (saws all), Circular Trim Saw, Flashlight, Stud Finder, Charger, 2 batteries & carrying bag.
She also got me an antique 4 barreled, brass framed 'Pepper Box' I'd been eye balling but wouldn't buy.

My nieces and nephew got me Laceade off road tire chains and a cigarette lighter plug in electric blanket/sleeping bag thing for your legs and feet. I didn't know such a thing existed!
I guess I'll have to install a cigarette lighter now.

Employees got me a very cool digital camera that I'll never be able to work correctly!
(So now maybe my pictures will get better!... or not...)

My main gift is the $2500 paint job for my Project SBC.....

But the best gift was seeing my boys expressions when they got up Sunday morning....priceless.....

Now the bigger problem is where to put everything....between us and the grandparents, it's obscene.....toys are taking over the house.....

My boss gave me a 2006 Jeep calendar (she gives our group calendars every year).

My wife & son gave me 2 bottles of my favorite imported Haitian rum (it ain't cheap), a calendar and small placard from despair.com, and an RC Rubicon (not quite as functional as the more expensive Unlimited crawler, but still fun). Haven't gotten the stuff from the extended family yet. Unfortunately I had planned to be in Jersey with my parents but was unable to go due to lack of vacation time and getting screwed over for two weeks of comp time...that definitely put a damper on my holiday, but it was great just to be home with my immediate family...they left for the in-laws in Pennsylvania yesterday afternoon (wife works for the school district, so she has 2+ weeks off), so I'm 'bacheloring' it this week (read: doing a bunch of projects around the house). Got my son one of those ESPN Game Centers and neither one of us can stay away from that darn thing.

DANG, there you go again, saying something truly inspiring that makes all of our gadgets and toys seem trivial. Glad you ALL had a good Christmas!!

Oh yeah, I got a new Craftsman jack, creeper, jackstand combo, and yet another RC jeep crawler, and the wife and I picked up a cool little DVD camcorder for when the lil one arrives. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The great people on this board gifted us with the ability to get the grand babies a little something for Christmas. That was awsome.

The kiddos are the fun part of the holidays...my best gift was heading home to Texas to see the family and eat some good food,

The funniest gift was the brick my sister in law gave me that she painted my name on and on the other side she painter "NC Emergency Brake" so I would have prevention from my jeep running away and rolling over.

The wife got me a Sirius boom box for my satellite radio so I can listen to it anywhere, and an electric trimmer to keep my stach and goatee trimmed.

Daughter got me a video game that plugs into the TV, and I also got alot of Longhorn paraphanalia since I'm a huge Longhorn fan......

Best of all was just being able to spend time with family and friends and relax from work for a couple days....

I was able to see the grandkids faces on Sunday Morning, see the the garage wall covered in mirrors for the dancer, and a Ipod Nano for the Hipster, and a new computer for thier mother, priceless!

I got my Warriors video game for PS2, great game, not for kids though. More swearing, violence and drugs than even I am confortable around, but since it is one of my favorite movies, the video game is awesome. And of course a couple of bottles of nice Single Malt!
