Just sent this to my customers, sorry you Mac guys are on your own :)

Beginning in 2007, daylight saving time (DST) will be extended in the United States. DST will start on March 11, 2007, which is three weeks earlier than usual, and it will end on November 4, 2007, which is one week later than usual. This results in a new DST period that is four weeks longer than in previous years. Unless certain updates are applied to your computer, the time zone settings for your computer's system clock may be incorrect during this four-week period. In particular, you must make sure that both your Windows operating system and your calendar programs are updated.

I recommend you run the following on all your machines, including your server.

All your workstations should be very easy to update, some of you that have a server may want to contact be on this.

To fix each workstation (Run this on each whether or not you use Outlook): http://office.microsoft.com/assista...d=XT102171261033&vwidth=600&vheight=450&type=flash&CTT=11&Origin=HA102086071033

To Fix your Server (Run from server, choose IT Professional) : Daylight Saving Time Help and Support Center

If you need my help, please respond ASAP, as the 11th is coming up very soon.
Of course, as I am no part of Microsoft, I cannot warranty nor guarantee this Fix. This email is for informational purposes only, and there is no support expressed or implied.

Well kinda, I have a registry file you can apply to >= 2000 Pro, but it comes AS-IS! pm me if you want it, though I would recommend using windows update on the net if you can...

Good to see you can hold your water Jim :)

Ah, the Wall, some great quotes in there !

I don't need no arms around me
And I don't need no drugs to calm me.
I have seen the writing on the wall.
Don't think I need anything at all.
No! Don't think I'll need anything at all.
All in all it was all just bricks in the wall.
All in all you were all just bricks in the wall.

bingo, bango bongo
I don't wanna leave the Congo, oh no no no no no

For XP, the update came through a few weeks ago. I was talking to a friend of mine about it since I hadn't seen anything and the next day it came through.

Might have to try your fix on my 98 machine that I let the granddaughter play with. Microsoft quit supporting 98 last July so it may not work on it. I found another update for 98 but I'm not too concerned about it, the granddaughter can't tell time yet anyway.

So what about VCRs, phones, etc., etc.

Bush is such an idiot. He didn't learn anything from the Nixon years.

Taz, the time change will not effect you. It will not change the blinking 12:00 on your VCR whatsoever.

So don't worry, be happy.

First and foremost you need the OS update...MS only has it for XP & 2003...it will install via WindowsUpdate automatically (if you use auto update) or manually. If you have an older (unsupported) version of Windows, Intelliadmin has a free little utility that does it for you, or you can sift through the info on MS' site for how to manually make the changes. Next, if you're using Outlook, you need to download and run the TZ utility for it. If it's in an Exchange environment, then you also need to download and run an update for Exchange and there's also a tool that can be run from a server to update all of the user calendars without having to run the Outlook tool on each PC. I did my first non-XP/2003 customer yesterday afternoon, doing another today which also shares office space with the first customer's branch office so I'll finish them today, and hitting my two bigger ones on Friday (did their Exchange patch yesterday morning remotely, just have a couple of W2K PC's to hit, then the calendar tool). Home has been patched for a while, did my DVR's yesterday. A *lot* of folks are going to have phone system issues.
