I think upalittle needs his name changed to upaverylittle.

We had a great time at Haspin today. It was warm, sunny, and muddy as heck.
The sun felt so good, upalittle's TJ decided to take a nap.

That was the most nervous I was all day,, And it was not even me in trouble...

My camera went dead first thing,, so I have no pics,, spent most of the day stuck or getting someone un stuck,,,

He actually got out of it without any damage. His front flare was a little bent, but I think is front rubbing his tire, not from this.
I didn't get too many pictures, but they are On My Page.
Click on "Offroad Trips" on the left side.
Jeff, the trick is to train the tire to jump off the rim on a specific command. Like when I ring a bell, snap my fingers, or slam it hard into a wall.

So what exactly is the special ingrediant in this mud?? It won't come off for nothin,,, after an hour at the house and five bucks at the wash it started raining,,, maybee that will do it,,, I still have to chip out my interior,,,, Whos Idea was it to go topless??

Finally!! You're right, there is something funny in that stuff. It took me over an hour just to clean that one tire/rim. That's something I could live the rest of my life without doing again. Spent $8 at the wash yesterday too, and only managed to get the big stuff off. My interior looks like a crap bomb went off in there. I guess I shouldn't have eaten those burritos before we went.

Dave, I believe you have warned Jeff before about Haspin when it's muddy. You weren't kidding. As Jeff said, we spent more time pulling or being pulled than wheeling. It was still a great time, though.

Ain't it fun in the mud there.

Glad you two mentioned the mud there. It has got to be the worst in this whole area. You can't ever get it off. Our method is to powerwash.....then repaint.

And on the bottom, it's now a new part of your jeep.

Well before I will go back in that as big of a mess as it was I want a winch,,, I do not think anyone could have pulled Tom out without flopping him over, but he was able to do it with his winch and a stratigicaly placed tree.

I am just too cheap right now to buy one so I will stay out of the mud for a while...

I am tinking we need to have the fall run at Haspin,,, and call it breakfest 2004,,,, Who has the welder??

Of all days for me not to bring the impact wrench..

That would be awesome. It's soooo much closer to home for me. But don't do it too soon. I'd hate to miss it because I'm at poverty level.

But it's something to think about.

Foot for foot I think it beats the heck out of badlands as far as challenge, but it is a backwoods out of the way, ******* area... Cool thing is jim and I live less than an hour from there...

I think it is a good place to wheel, and worth a organized run say in september??

I would like to se a fall run that travels around,,,

The area in the back is RAD, with hills that a year ago I would not have even attempted, but Wet that area would be suicide...

Hey fellow Fat Boys,
I wish I could have made it Sunday. I was hoping to try out my new "Strapper Hy-steer set up" that I have. The tow rig had some brake problems and things just didn't work out for me. When that didn't work out, I was going to ride with FB Derek in his Rubicon, but he was too sick to go.

It looks like it was pretty nasty there. That Haspin mud is like glue!!!!!

I just don't understand it. I'd think mud is mostly all the same, but that crap is evil alright. I think I'm gonna Haspin-Line my tub. It's a heck of a lot tougher than herculiner could ever dream of being.

I haven't posted in a while. I still check this board almost every day though. Are you guys going to be at Haspin for the Ground Hog's Day Run? I think anyone is invited!!!!! You should definitely make plans for the IFWDA Convention at French Lick. Check the IFWDA website for dates.

Hey Kelly, I am planning on the Groundhog day run if all is well with the baby,,, I will miss the convention though,, Too close to the youngin's birthday and the wife will not be back to work yet...

Shame ya didin't make it, we had fun although I could not have made it by myself,,,

You missed me getting hung up on this little bitty bump at the end of a rut it was down right embarasing,,, oh well,, I got to pull one off of it later,, but no one was watching...

Funny I have been wheeling this jeep for 3 years and I used my tow straps more sunday than I had in the prior 3 years... God I need lockers....
