We blew the record away yesterday, felt like Phoenix and Las Vegas, brought back memories of when I used to live there...
We hit 111 degrees yesterday and are on schedule to hit 115 today.. but the good points of it is 2 things..

No humidity, and it cools off to mid 60's at night..

it brings out the nice things about having a samurai, when you get in your topless/doorless samurai, you know what the temperature is before you get in, unlike your rolled up windowed enclosed vehicle, when you get in, you need to cool it down from 150...

Nope Boise Idaho area... I was even up in the mountains couple of days ago, and still hotter than heck,, 105 up there while the valley recorded 104, wierd.
usually you go up in the mountains to get away from the heat... oh well, nothing to compain about.
still had fun...

Hell, I am glad to see some one else get the heat this summer. Here is Texas we have been below normal all year. I think the high today is suppose to be 91. The average high right now is 96. During the summer we usually average about thirty days above 100. The hottest we ever seen here in north Texas is about 115. Problem here is we have the humity as well. It brings the temperature humity index up to around 110 on a 95 degree day. STAY COOL!

yep, in Mesa, it seemed like we would hit 100 sometime in June and stay there till Sept sometime...
I guess when you grow up in it, it doesn't bother you much... well it doesn't bother me much..

what would really suck is to be pouring hot tar on roofs in the summertime in Vegas.. that would have to be way hot...

I remember being on the tarmak at Nellis airforce base in Las Vegas, it was registering 136 F, that was hot, wearing slacks and shirt and tie...

We've been hitting low 100s here in the North Bay of Cali. Sure glad I'm not up in Redding!! I used to spend my summers in that area(Red Bluff) when I was a kid. 115 degrees....been there and hated it, we used to sit in the cattle water troughs to keep cool.

Brrr, all those cold places sound miserable - even the ones just below 100.

3 days ago it was 120 degrees on my back porch.

Today it only hit 115, thought I might have to put a jacket on.
Right now, 1:30 AM it's still 95.

Trouble is, we've had some T-storms, so the humidity's up, swamp coolers don't work very well.

OK, it's to be expected it's hot here in the CA desert, Landers, Johnson Valley, home of the Hammer trails.

I work on my crawler at night, sleep under the cooler during the day.
