Hello. It seems that I am going to recieve a lot of stickers from the manufacturers. I am wondering. Do you think it is okay to put the stickers on even thou I do not have the parts in my vehicle. I am not talking about turbo or anything like that, something like Exploper Pro Comp, WARN winches, K&N, etc. I know a lot of off road rally vehicles advertise like that. Thank you for your reply

The manufactures won't care but people might discover you are lying about it. All a manufacturer wants is his name out in public, they don't care if you actually use their parts. With a sticker on your vehicle it looks like you endorse them and in their minds that is a good thing, go sticker-crazy if you want to!!

I only have stickers from companies that I have used parts from on my Jeep. I don't want stickers on my Jeep if I don't know how the parts work and last.

You can do which ever you like as far as which stickers to put on you rig.
If ya want I can send you a pic of mine to see what it looks like. If you do just e-mail me at my e-mail address and I will send it to you.

The members of my club will only put on stickers for equipment that was given to us for testing or at cost so it could be evaluated.

I think if you put a product sticker on your jeep, then most people think that you have that product on your jeep (i.e. ARB or WARN). But, it is your jeep. There are many ladies that wear wonderbras (or stuff their bras), kinda the same effect, cool looking, but not the truth on the inside.

i think you need to do whatever you like. even if you do not use the product. look at all the people who have Nascar numbers on they vehicle when they do not drive the race cars. (I,m guilty) I think you need to go sticker crazy. Only think I do not like are the people who have high end stero systems then advertize they products, it like telling the crooks "Hey over here, steal me"

here is a different thought. some mags will not use pics of your vehicle if youb have decals on them. some events (competitive) will not allow decals of a sponsors competitor on vehicles. so here is an idea. place your decals on magnets so you can remove them as necessary.

It's up to you. Personally I don't have ANY stickers. Even took off all the Jeep stickers including the Sahara sticker. I take that back. Do have one sticker on the back bumper. It says, "If you can read this, please turn me over." and it's written upside down.

A guy in our club had some made up and stuck them around the rim of license plate holders. Made of plastic with some double side sticky tape holding them to the license plate holder. I just pealed them off, well actually cut them off with my pocket knife, and stuck them to my back bumper. He was charging $10 for the license plate holder with the plastic stickers installed. He had them several months ago, and he may have some of the plastic deals left. If you are interested, I can put you in touch with him. He wasn't doing it to make any money. Just had a few made up and sold them to club members at pretty much cost, I think. You can go to my web site, if you like. There is a link there to the club. His name is Ken Womack and his e-mail address in in the club roster. Tell him I gave you the info. Our site, as well as my site are open to the public. Ken's info is on our public site, so I don't know any reason why he would object to my passing this info to you. Because of the time since I got my sign from him, it would not surprise me that he does not have any left.

I guess it is all opinion, but why would you want stickers on your Jeep if you really don't have the parts in it? I have a lot of stickers on my Jeep, but only ones that I've got parts for. Currie, Pro-comp, Tomken, Ramsey, Jeep Jamboree, Weber, Autometer, etc. I think it's a lot of fun, and it makes the Jeep look like a serious off-roading type of thing. It's all up to you, but.... that's like when my girlfriend used to drive my Jeep, and she would wave at the old landcruisers and stuff... I like landcruisers too, but....

I don't want to piss anyone off, but I guess stickers without parts is like a 3" body lift. Yeah, you can fit the tires, but is it really right...

Just my opinion

You might think your cool now, but the first trail ride with your ARB and Warn stickers when you get stuck in a little off camber hill climb and need someone else to pull you out, Then you will feel real cool!

Here I am, thinking I'm all funny. I've had a license plate frame on my Jeep for a year that says "If you can read this, roll me back over."

As for the stickers, I say that stickers all over the place are for lowered Hondas. I have a few, but not of any manufacturers, just club stickers, etc.

If a bunch of you guys want those "roll me back over" stickers, I have a friend in the vinyl sticker biz. I won't make them up for just a few people, but if a couple dozen people want them, I'll whip up a batch and sell them for say, $5 apiece, including shipping. What do you say? E-mail me if your interested, http://mailto:[email protected] let me know how many you'd want. If we hit 24 or so, I'll e-mail you back with more info... How's that sound?

Personally, I wouldn't put any stickers on my Jeep /wwwthreads_images/icons/tongue.gif . It's defiling a work of art. You might as well put a mustache on the Mona Lisa, or a second eye on a Picasso /wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif . But I definitely don't understand endorsing a product you don't know. What if the product is crap? Now you have a Pro-Crap sticker. /wwwthreads_images/icons/cool.gif

Why become a rolling Billboard for these companies. They won't pay you to advertise thier products. I use many fine aftermarket products but will keep my Jeep clean of manufacturers' stickers. I have my nickname on hood and Club stickers on tire carrier. Always happy to tell another Jeeper what I have used that works. Just my .02

The only stickers on my rigs are on magnets so they can be removed, and those are club logos for the
runs. 1, they probably would peel off with the rattle can paint that is flaking off, and 2, It's more impressive
to drive by people on the trail and make them wonder what's under the rig. Makes people more interested
in talking to you on the trail. Just my 2 cents worth. Nickmil.

I personally have one sticker on my Jeep, I like the TeraLow turtle (and yes, I have the product). I've always had a sort of rule about this sort of thing, stickers go on the toolbox. /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif

I've seen the "turn me over" in 3 varieties on ebay, bumper sticker, windshield sticker and license plate.
These were all Dutch auctions.
