? on scout 11\" drum setup

Alrighty. I've got everything in now. Brake lines run, etc etc etc...i won't go on. I do have a question, though... on the scout drums, i've eliminated everything parking brake related (i'm installing a linelock...) I've got the shoes in, holddown springs on, and primary & secondary return springs on. I've still got one more spring left.... isn't it supposed to just shoot straight across the bottom of the setup, above the star adjuster? I can't get it to reach... does anyone have pics of a scout 44 11" setup or just know where that 3rd spring goes to?

if nobody replies or posts a pic I can go out to my folks house friday and tear the drum off and let you know how it is hooked up (I don't know off the top of my head, though I should I was just in there recently....)

I have a mental picture of that spring hooking to the L-shaped lever that works the adjuster wheel. It's arranged so that when the bottom of the shoes shift aft under braking, the lever can catch another tooth on the adjuster. When the shoes shift forward, while braking in reverse, the spring pulls the lever which advances the adjuster star.

See if you can hook it up that way. If you still have trouble, maybe I can dig out a picture somewhere.

Ha - Dirt - I couldn't have hoped for a better pic. I'm heading back out to the garage immediately to throw those springs on. Thanks!
