I'm planning on putting a York, or similar, on my chevy for air this summer. The only difference I see is the mounting bracket, should be able to rig something up. I don't see why we can't do it too!

I know a couple guys that have used old Cadillac a/c compressors and are real happy. Since they are GM maybe they will bolt right in if you buy them with the bracket that they were mounted with. Just a thought.

I have a York that I am getting ready to put on my 350. I need a few more parts before it is complete. I have thought about placement more than anything. I can weld a bracket that will work but I need to figure out where the easiest place to mount the thing would be. I was thinking about mounting it above the water pump maybe, I have to check to see if things work out with the belt alignment and water neck clearence. I will replace my fan with an electric anyway so I do not have to worry about that. What do you think is a good mounting point for the York on a 350?

I was going to try to put one where my alternator currently is and put my alternator down low. I have the electric fan already, will make it a little easier, one less thing that needs a belt!
