Ok now I\'ve done it! Won\'t even fire up now...

I posted a message ealier about my engine running rough, or dying - while smell soming from the exhaust. I was checking all the emission controls and vacumme lines, and I turned off the engine. It sat for about 5 mins, and didn't want to start. Kind of like the plug wires were in wrong firing order. If I let it spit and sputter for about 60secs, it would run fine. HOWEVER--- Now I can't get a spark at the Coil, or the plugs. I replaced the Igniton Modual and it didn't solve the problem! ARghhhh, it's always something. Does anyone have a preferance on repair manuals, I have a Chiltons, does the Haynes have better instructions?

haynes manual is a little better but not alot. your best bet is to do a search through TeamRush posts. he has posted alot of info on trouble shooting the ignition.

See attached for a test harness for your ignition system.
This will determine if it's the factory wiring harness or the components...

Ignore the TFI coil part, it will work with either coil type...
