I have just had an argument with the dicks that supplied me with oil hose for my engine oil cooler. It ruptured on me and i am lucky not to have wasted my motor. They said it should be fine for what I want. But as I don't have a receipt (god only knows where that has gone) They won't accept any liability.
I always keep my receipts, but alas not this time.
But it was fuel hose that they sold me.
So now I am left with a big clean up and need to get more hose.
What is the recommended hose for an engine oil cooler on my Gti hybrid motorplease anyone ?

That's good crow, thanks.
I have the sandwich adaptor and have some brass fittings which have barbs for push on hose and clamps. The cooler has push on fittings also. So I guess i'm pretty much stuck with that system.
I've found some hose that can withstand pressures in excess of 250 psi and up to 190 degrees, Do you think that would be suitable?

I don't have a oil reloaction kit but I'm gona say that 190 is to low. as most vehicles red line on the water temp is some where around 210 if I'm rembering right. but also you want it to be able to hold toghther in the event of over heating out in BFE. bad enough to be overheating, oil line falling apart sure would'nt help the situation...

guess I ought to stop blab'n

Go to a diesel repair shop and show them your fittings and length you need . Tell 'em you want Aeroquip or similiar wire reinforced high pressure hose . They use this stuff on semi's all the time , lasts forever even on air brake systems under constant abuse . Not cheap , but well worth the money . Note, before you walk out the door with the new line , make sure it's been blown out and cleaned . Some guys don't quite get the ends centered when they screw them together and wind up with small peices of rubber stuck inside , bad for oil pumps....
