Ever since I started posting on this site I've had problems logging in. I click on login fill out my user name and password and it brings me to my page, then I go back to the board, but it says I cannot start threads or answer threads. The only way it recognizes my login is if after accessing the Jeepster forum I then login, go to the main index, choose jeep and then AJC. Am I doing something wrong or is this the way it's suppossed to work? And BTW I am using a G-4 Mac.

I do the same thing, so I'd be interested in an answer as well! Its usually faster for me to login, then close the window and open the BBS again and I'm usually still logged in.

actually pretty simple (but not obvious). Let's say you are on this page, want to reply, but need to log in. Hit Login, enter your information, then, hit the BACK button twice to bring you back here. Then, simply hit View/Refresh or click the button in IE that looks like a piece of paper with 2 arrows on it. Bang, you're in. The reason is that your software automatically remembers the page as you saw it last unless there is a reason to update it.

I use a mac w/osx too. All I do is login (I hit the "remember me, so I don't have to login everytime, only once" button. Then it takes me to my page and then I just hit the BBS that is sitting on the left hand side of the page. But since I hit the "remember my user ID" (I can't remember exactly what it says) I don't have to do that anymore. For instance, I just now turned on my mac came here, started reading posts and hit reply and here I am. Hope that helps.

I'm no computer expert but I had a similar problem here a while back a couple of months ago. Seems that this website changed servers? or location. I had the same problem you described. I finally ended up deleteing my short cuts to this site and went back to ORC home and reestablished my links and the problem was solved.
