Post up when you make it home ok.
Kathy and I wussed out and drove home tonight after the main festivities were over.
Cold, drizzling, warm soft bed just 2 1/2 hours away.
Easy choice to make.
Had a great time despite the weather.

Josh and I made it home at 8:30AM this morning. Jim we only live 1hr and 15 minutes away and we stuck it out through out the night.

We had a great time looking forward to next year already.
We are going to do Red Bird here in the near future if anyone is interested.

Been home for hours but just did a little catching up on here after a much needed nap. May as well dual duty this thread and make it the "Official Bash 2006 Picture Post" also.

Here are my pictures. Please get your pictures to me so that I can get your album together and link them all together. You can e-mail them to me but your Internet provider may limit you. If you can spell FTP send me a PM for instructions.

Frank and I rolled in to Belleville4 about 11:00 CDT after a 4-hour drive. Been doing honeydo's and nursing my sore back since. Wed got to I74 and turned east in a steady drizzle. Crossed the Wabash and the sun came out through patches of blue sky everywhere. In the rear view and it looked like like we were coming out of a coal mine tunnel. But fortunately we did get enough rain to wash most of the mud off Frank's trailer by the time we got home.

Frank used a film camera so it will be a few days until he gets them printed and put onto a disk. I'll send them over ASAP. Thanks Dale.

And Redbird sounds good, any time after a few weeks. Keep it going.

Well we left at 8;00 and got home at 9;00. Gained an hour coming home, not a bad thing. There is alot more downhill coming home. So thats 13 hours, home 14 hours there.

Found some more body damaged on the cj today while getting gas. Nothing major just more then i thought i got. I'm thinking i may have broken a spring too, its sagging hard to the right.

We had a great time and im glad i got to see everyone again.

Dont forget keep paragon in your head for sept. Hopefully we can pull something off.

MORON REPORT:

Made it through the whole weekend without screwing anything up on the Jeep. Well, there's that horrible squeek from the wasted u-joint(?) we got to listen to all of the way home, but nothing more.
When we left, I forgot to remove my safety flag which I always duct tape to my CB antenna. We get home, pull in the garage, close the door......SNAP!!!!
Cracked the antenna off right at the base.

Got home at 1:30 on Sunday. No problems. Jen and Barno (or Mike, or Bryan) made it back to Detroit also. I can't speak for Barno, but I had a freakin' blast! I didn't even mind the crappy weather (of course I didn't camp). I was great to meet everybody and check out their rigs. Thanks to all who made this happen and I will be there next year! Maybe next year I won't be such a "Nancy Pants"!

We arrived home around 8:15PM. So about an 11 hour ride with a stop to eat, and two stops to play with the veg oil system. After the second stop I realized I had a loose conenction so the system was sucking air off and on. Once I tightened it down it ran great all the way home. Waisted money on filters for nothing! Ended up using 17 gallons of Diesel and put on 1015 miles. So about 60 miles to the paid for gallon. The wife was like WOW thats Great!!!, but I now that I could have done it closer to 200 miles to the paid for gallon if I would have had that hose clamp tight from the get go. OH well at least it works.

We had a great time again this year. I know there where a couple of us talking about getting together this fall before it gets cold up at the Mountain. Just North of the PipeLine or West of Green Bay, Wi. The only Damage so far was Marys front Passenger side fender which got crunched as she was backing the last 30ft off of the trail for the weekend. Not Happy at all LOL but S#!t happens as they say, and I was not driving when it happen which is also a nice change.

Brad and the pains in the asses made it home around 1:00 after going back to Attica to load up the Blue Dodge. Brads daughter went in Saterday night for an emergency appendisiteis(??). He got word when we got back to camp Saturday night. His wife said that she was doing good and that he was not to come home till morning because she felt that 1 he more then likely had already had a drink and he would be speeding to get home and 2 she does not trust him to drive long distances when he is tired. (Over protective and smart we sort of she married him so she does have blond moments.) Cassey is doing good but they are looking at other possible reasons for her abdominal pain now also. The Doc's are not all sure whats going on.

As far as the pain in the @ss him self his girlfriend/wife to be? Was waiting for him at Brads house I guess that he is grounded and band from going anywhere without her for ever. All 3 of them are grounded for that! All in all Brad said they had a great time and learned that they need rockwells for axles in the jeep.

Thank you to those that helped but on this years even, Brought the big tent, cooked up some good vidles, and where just plain fun to be around.

Me and Tim got home at 11:00am Sunday. My truck ran great on the way home, guess 93 octane with the chip in my V10 does really make a difference. We ran 75-80 the whole way home and never dipped below 70 on any hills. Eddie's got some new rock rash on the diff's and beadlock rings and a dent or two but thats expected. Tim's jeep has a bent tie rod, a big dent in the tub, broke a mirror off, tweaked a rear caliper and smoked his rear diff cover, hopefully it's not into his ring gear. Oh yeah, his new beadlocks don't look so new anymore either. Had a great time but man did the weather suck!! I'm all up for Redbird Brad but it depends on when I get my HP 44 put together and bolted in. I had a really good time in the quarry Saturday, I've never been into that serious of rocks before, thanks for the great job spotting Brad and Josh!! Thanks to everybody who worked so hard on making the Bash happen.
Aaron.

Hey Everyone - I'm the guy who showed up with his stock TJ with MTPockets. First thing I have to say is that we survived!! My wife and I had an awesome time! (I've never heard my wife cuss so much) Although the weather sucked, it provided for some challenging wheelin' - from a "stocker" point of view. I hope that this experience (my wife's first) will allow for some future mods to my rig. We are definately in for next year!

Dale - I can send a few pictures once I figure out how to send them to you. I'm new to this BB thing. Maybe MTPockets will know.

Anyone been to the Mounds in Michigan?

-Barno

Barno,

Glad to see you are finally on the board! This place is a wealth of information. When I was shopping for a lift everyone was very helpful and made sure that I didn't get something I didn't want. When you start looking for that 8 inch long arm lift, just post here before you buy. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
