O/T Video Editor needed

Is there a video clip editor on the web I could swipe to use in reducing the size of a clip so it can be E mailed or posted on a web page better?

Do you JUST need to reduce the size of the clip?? The divx compression codec along with mp3 for the audio works well for sizes..

Try Divx.com

There is a pretty easy-to-use app called Dr Divx that you can download as a demo. You may end up buying it!

Larry..

If you're using Windows XP then use the Windows Movie Maker thing that comes with it. It works great for what you're trying to do. You can select many different levels of quality based on what you plan to do with the video afterwards.

Do you need a program that compresses and that's all? Do you need to edit, clip, cut, etc the video???

What are your needs?

GREAT site, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much information!!!

http://www.divx.com/divx/
download the "free codec" not the "Ad supported" one.

http://www.pegasys-inc.com/en/download/tp.html

that's the GUI encoder program, real good, simple, and it works well (note, the audio conversion sux, make sure your source audio specs and encoding auto settings are equal (44khz, 16bit stereo on both, or 22, 44, 48, whatever...)

Then
http://www.dvdrhelp.com/tools?tool=198#comments

That's the mp3 audio encoding codec.

The end result, install tmpg, install divx, install lame mp3 encoder (pm if you get stumped), identify your source audio setting (something like 44khz, 16 bit, stereo), open tmpg, open your video, choose file, output to file, AVI, choose divx for the compression, say 786 kb/s rate?, choose mp3 audio compression (remember, use your source settings), click ok.

After a while, you'll have a nice DIVX / mp3 encoded video that's not too large.

Do you want to host this to stream the information??
