Just wondering if anyone knows a good place to get tanks for an oxyacetylene setup. Or should I just by a whole setup at once...and where?

If you are going to get big bottles you have to lease them here . My welding store(BOC) has them for lease .If you have a welding only store thats where I would look.
I have seen the baby bottles at harbor freight for sale HTH .

I use Merriam-Graves for my O/C and MIG gas. They are out your way, I'm sure.

The lease is much cheaper than MG was for me. I did have to open an account with them. They also sell and exchange them too. Call around to welding supply places in your area for the tanks/rig, and then go to www.weldingsupply.com for prices on
the rig.

If you do have to buy the bottles, like I had to, get a Lp tip for your torch and use Lp. Much cheaper, and you can get Lp anywhere.

I don't think LP burns near as hot as acetylene.

Airgas - nationwide - - check their website - you buy the tanks - they swap tanks when you refill them. Watch out when buying used tanks - certification is required every so often - pressure test. There's a stamp on them that shows the last inspection - it's expensive.
Airgas - as long as you bought the refill tank from them last time (their label's on it) no extra charge for certification.

I use propane and love it.

Propane is alot cheaper to use (especially since my dad is a retailer of propane)

Propane tips are more expensive then acet tips, but there are lower maintianence.
