We have a dewalt rotozip. We tried to use it for the exact purpose you specified, however just the rear. Our tub is fiberglass with aluminum diamondplate corners & sideplates, so we had to cut through both fiberglass & the diamondplate. It cut through the fiberglass easily, but not the diamondplate. We ended up using a scrollsaw for that.
I got a Rotozip for Christmas...haven't used it yet but I saw that Menards has blades for cutting aluminum & light steal....I plan on using mine on my CJ5 too.....noticed a web page on the box(www.rotozip.com) might be some info there
My son does dry walling. We were going to buy one of the roto-zips for his work.
In talking to the pros the Porter Cable unit is the only one that stands up to hard use.
It is all in the motor bearings and their quality.
Porter Cable has the better bearings and case.
We bought the P.C. unit.
