ok is this the correct rebuild kit for me ?

I know it say up to 96, but I thought they didnt change in 97 (my year)

Yep they are diff. some where 95 to 96 they changed the input outer and another bearing. They are not as big, or good for that matter as the older model. But because of a few parts changes in the rebuild kit you will need another kit. Sorry
