kind of like when they lower the speed limit to 55mph, it was only temporarily done right,,, something like 15 years later was it raised back up only after much fighting... anway hopefully this does not happen....


I am curious though,, i went to your webpage and all those runs you have in your archives don't have anything in the form of vegitation that can burn.. so why did they really close the roads down???

Actually, there is a lot of stuff to burn, just can't see it all from inside the washes. We haven't had any rain since last year and it is beyond very dry here.

 

that is awefull dry... how bout you come up here to Idaho and wheel for a few weeks??? lots of land here and we have had a good winter of precip...

when I lived down there I don't remember a whole year without rain... wow..

 

They say this is as bad as its been in 100 years...

 

well i was wondering where all the rain we have been geting in indiana was coming from.you can have it back if you like ...all the low feilds are like lakes here .the most rain indiana has had in a long,long time .

BLM land is still open.. Driving 300 miles to hit some AZ trails this weekend.

Looks like the west counties are open too ( State lands). Most of the land near Phoenix is closed, just about all the good trails are on State land or forest land.

 

R U sure?????? i was in Sedona last week and there was some trails south of there open???????

 

That's the result of 100 years of fire suppression in the name of "forest management" and environmentalism.

BLM Lands are still open, so is everything on the west edge of the state I think.
