The ABS plastic flares are screwed to a metal mounting surface that is spot welded to the side of the Samurai. I hope this makes sence. The metal part can be removed without damaging the side of your Samurai if extreme caution is used. Personally I would leave the metal flasre on and find a set of plastic flares in better condition.
