I spoke with the owner (Steve Johnston) right before the JP issue hit the shelves and he said everything was pretty much stock and he had no problems turning those 36" Mudders. Steve is the guy who makes rocker panels, and although I haven't welded them to my tub yet, they look great. It just goes to show how important the driver's input is to keeping your rig together and being able to navigate most obstacles on the trail. Jim

I was thinking the exact same thing when I first read the specs on his jeepster in the magazine. I'm running 33-12.5 Yokohama Mud Diggers with the 3.73's and v6, th400 and my street driving suffers. Especially when pulling a popup camper. I have the factory dana27 front and dana44 flanged rear, but I'll be upgrading to a dana44 front soon. I don't overpower them but its only a 27. Can't last that long with the 33's off road.

go "www.ask.com" [Ask Jeeves], type in JP Magazine, then select the "ASK" button next to it... after the results come in, page down and the first result will say "Direct Hit; JP Magazine Cover". -hit "ASK" again next to it.
