I found a New Process T-Case and it looks like it has some kind of gear reduction on it! The tag says:
New Process Gear
Model - 203
Ratio - 201
Serial # - 52576
Assembly # - 336990

Any one know what this is? Thanks:

That is very large and should weigh about 180 pounds (179 actually). It is a chain driven transfer case, very common, but it only has a low range of 2.01, as it says on the tag. It has become a common swap between the SM465 transmission and the NP205, it's gear driven brother (yes, dual transfer cases).

What is it attached to? If it's a 4 speed standard, I get first dibbs on it, I'll be up tomorrow to get it. It was primarily used behind automatics from '73 to '79 in Chevys of all sizes.

It is huge, but not very desireable due to it being chain driven and not gear driven, and the fact it has about 40 pounds on the NP205. They were full time 4WD, but can be converted to part time fairly easily. A friend has one, converted to part time, mated to a TH400 he's trying to sell for $200, complete with the 350 bellhousing.

Thanks JEEPN:
Can the reduction box be used between a T18 and a Dana20
2.01*2.46=4.94, Not bad!
