Smallblock 400 in it for now. looking to upgrade to a fuel injected 454 but havent found one for the right price yet. Tires are 18.4 wide each, so just over 6 feet of width in the back. And yes, I do get stuck, in fact I get stuck often. Just goes to show, bigger tires won't get you stuck less often, cuz you just find a deeper hole to try. it definately goes to show a 14 bolt can hold up to jst about anything, haven't had had a prob with it yet (other than blowing about 4 rear driveshafts, I am in the process of upgrading to a 2.5 ton mil driveshaft in the rear).

I'm just curious, have you had the chance to try it in water yet? I'm wondering if it floats...

I once saw a Toyota being a badass and the tires were so big it flipped over when he tried to go into moving water.

 

wrath-I dont know if it floats completely, but you can definately feel the back end being very light when running through water. It feels like the front is doing all the pulling, which is probably true. And a 572 would be excellent, but I can be sure it would cost more than what i have into the whole rest of the truck. Mabye when i win the lotto.

 

is that one of those 1.25 ton military trucks? w/ the d60, 14ff, np205, and 4.56 gears? Those are awesome trucks. I want to get one.
