Well It only took 9 years! but the long screwy hours and lack of face time with the family and jeep has finally caught up with me. I got Offered a new position with the state and it looks like I will be taking it. So I am gonna be outa comission for the first few months of the year until I get through the specilized training and back into circulation in early March.

SO anybody near Plainfield IN need help with their jeep I will be stationed there for a couple months, then back home.

Pay is better benifits are a little better, and I needed a change.

Congrats Jeff, I knew you would make it. Now you just can't shoot anyone, but I won't "Bet" on it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The title is Gaming Agent. I definately like the job I have now and this was a hard decision but the things you will do for the family!!. No more pursuits and traffic control, but still a sworn position and as mentioned much better for my family. I might actually make some of the wheeling trips again. it is about 7000.00 pay raise off the bat. So hard to turn down,,, And I still get to carry a gun....

Jeff,

I am 30 minutes west of Plainfield on HWY 40. Hope you will be able to make some more wheeling trips in 2007, seemed to be few and far between for 06.

If you get bored give my a call. I think you already have my # but sent you a pm.

Congrats on the new job, hope it turns out great.

Brad

Gaming Agent? I assume you will be enforcing the hunting laws? This is potentially more dangerous....your out there with hunters that have more firepower than you do....Be safe bro.....

But it also means you have 'normal' hours and work days...for the most part.

Speaking of getting out....are any of you planning anything in May like you did last year? Thor and I both agreed that we would fly out and join you guys if you do....also assuming there is a couple of passenger seats open....

That's a game warden.

I assume he may be watching a lot of TV. Closed circuit TV from those cameras in a casino.

There has to be another Bash. I don't know who was appointed to set it up for this year, but it's something we should be thinking about. I would guess it would be May 11-13.

Taz is right, It is a regulation position woking for the state with the casino's. Not as glamorous as what i was doing but after looking at the pay and package,,, I think I can adapt.

The bash is a bit up in the air for me, but worse case I would try to drive down for an evening or something.

I just have no Idea how soon I would be able to get a day or two off,, just have to see!!
