I don't have anything against the truck guys but, why have they put us in with the F-Series??? Our Bronco's are too different from these guys, years are different, and the whole concept of the vehicle is different. We should have our own forum that covers our unique vehicles!!!! What do the rest of you think?

whatchu talkin bout willis? mechanically they are the same, and cosmetically they are only slightly different behind the front seats, everything else is identical! i've been wanting this for a LONG time, as have others. what's the big deal?

Now maybe the short wheel base 4bys will devulge some of their exhaust secrets to us.

All kidding aside, I'm for anything built HERE, by my neighbours for my neighbours by companies paying taxes HERE. Be it Generous Motors, Mopure or even the last soldiers of AMC, let alone a very similar sister truck (ours were based on). I'm hoping we can all get along well and learn a pile from each other.

Would have liked a seperate Bronco only forum, but whadda you gonna do

I don't know what your looking at for trucks but there are more differences than similarities in my book. A truck is either 2 or 4 wheel drive, short or long wheelbase, Single or dual rear wheels, single or dual gas tanks, different tailgate, reg cab, extended cab, or crew cab, gasoline or diesel, 1/2, 3/4 or 1 ton. The reason I am complaining is how many times does someone not put down some needed info for their Bronco and how confusing is that, now not only do we have to deal with that but, we now have vehicles that aren't in our year range and have a vastly greater option list to deal with. We always had the option of going to their site for extra info. Like I said I am not knocking the trucks there Grrrrreat I just think it is going to be a lot more confusing dealing with posts.

There aren't a whole lot of 2WD posts; the wheelbase doesn't affect anything anyone would ask about; neither does the number of wheels bolted onto the rear axle; neither does the number of gas tanks; truck guys don't ask about their t/gs, and rarely about their longer cabs; lots of Bronco guys want to know about diesel engines; and some Bronco owners DO use 3/4-ton springs.

The rest is identical, so it makes sense to have them together.

Have you ever been under a truck with a longer wheelbase? They have carrier bearings haven't seen too many Bronco's with carrier bearings. How many times does someone ask about the size of tires they can put on a truck and what kind of rims too use? Ever seen a dually, can't really put two pairs of 33 x 12.50's under the rear of a dually and what about back spacing on rims totally different. How many Bronco owners ask how to remove the gas tank which is behind the rear axle haven't seen too many trucks with gas tanks there! Also haven't seen too many Bronco's with selector switches and dual feeds for gas tanks. That's right truck guy's don't ask about their tailgate but Bronco guys do, don't think truck guys want to hear everything about our tailgates. Haven't seen to many Bronco's with straight I-Beam suspension and king pins either. Hey, but if you guy's want it, keep it.

yes but there are way more similarities than differences, so i think the merger is a good one. maybe it'll be a good opportunity to learn about vehicles other than the bronco! if it becomes a problem we can always go back to the old setup, the trucks forum is still there, it's just renamed to "97-current trucks". there really is no reason to discuss this further... there's obviously just a difference of opinion and now we just have to see how everything goes.

Well just fyi a '94 F150 has it's gas tank located behind the axle. And I have always cruised the Bronco as well as the truck boards to find info about my F150. Hell if I remember correctly my Transfer case came from a Bronco and I know for sure that the rear end did. Hell I have got more info about my truck from you Bronco guys than anyone else. I consider you all my brothers!! I love you man!!!

Whiners !!

1) Pilotrick, you're obviously not mechanically inclined . . . the only difference in your Bronco & my F150 is that you can haul 3 extra people & I can haul 4x8's . . . they're the same

truck!
BTW, the gas tank behind the axle is on every F150 w/ dual tanks . . . and there's plenty of 'em!

2) This change is gonna have such little effect on this board that you'll barely notice . . . Any F150 owner w/ half a brain has been active on this forum - already - for a long time now!

3) Yes guys, the - Formerly - F150 Forum is now the "Oops, you got a late model & shoudldn't be 4x4ing anyway" Forum . . . so naturally, unless some sap (no offense Burned) takes the time to physically move all those posts . . . it's gonna contain some references to older trucks!

4) As the bumper sticker says: Get In, Sit Down, Shut Up & Hang On !!!!

If you want to get personal I'm with all the way, all I was doing was expressing an opinion you want to go more, let's have at it.

yeah, like i said "difference of opinion" which typically leads to sh1t-talking... we just have to ride on it and deal with it if it becomes problematic. who's itching to be Zach's first BAN?

Zach, what exactly is in that pic of yours? that 79 you burned up? kinda hard to tell
