My dads stock 7.5 axle in his 84 Bronco II XLT recently exploded on him. The cross pin came out and destroyed the trak lok carrier and gears. My dad was wondering if there is another rear axle he can take from another vechile? His was a 7.5 leaf sprung with 3.75 gears and a special order trac lok. He's looking into a 5 lug, leaf sprung 8.8 with at least 3.73 gears stock and a trac lok? Does any vechile have this? He really doesn't want to rebuild this 7.5 or try to find another 7.5. Can anyone give some suggestions? Thanks

I'm not sure if a 8.8 will actually bolt in, but if it will a 9" will bolt in just a easily. 9" are easy to find and interchangable with a 8.8.

I think some rangers came with the 8.8. Mine is an 89 and it has the 7.5" so I gues they switched some time after that.
