Does somebody make them. I hear all sorts of stuff rattling around in my empty head and I want to pull the freeze plugs to get the crap out. I also need to know what sealant to install them with.
Thanks,
Pigpen

/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif You can get them at the Auto parts store. The last ones I got had a red material already on them which was the sealer. They also make bolt-in core plugs as well. We always used those in our race cars. They are made to install in places where you cannot really drive the plug in very easily. They also make brass plugs for bad water areas./wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif

There is a piece of clothe hanger type wire that is inside the head itself. I just had mine rebuilt, with new freeze plugs, and they left this piece in there. I think it is in there for some reason in the manufacturing process. I am not sure if it can be removed or not. My heads are from a 72 360. Maybe someone can enlighten us on what they these rods are there for. I do not think they hurt anything.
