Now that I have your attention. I am having some trouble with my fathers Ranger 2.9L, I replaced the tranny, took it for a test drive, every thing worked great. After the test drive, He jumped in the truck to go home, Started it, now it is flooding so bad we can barley keep it going. I tried to check the ECU codes but the light wont flash (the light is on all the time) I also tried a hand held code reader but as soon as I plug it in the beeper and the light come on and stay on. If the computer was tost, the truck would not run would it?

sounds like the ECU is maybe grounding out.

are your injecters acually pulsing, or just have a long pulse width? are they stuck open due to a constant ground from the ECU?

Thanks for the help:
I think I found the problem, I hooked the code reader up to the truck, then started unhooking sensors, With the MAP and the TPS unplugged the light and the beeper go out on the tester. After this I started getting codes from the ECU, It said I have a bad MAP and TPS sensor, GO FIGURE!!!!
