need help installing a sub in \'93 S-15 Jimmy

I'm trying to install a single 12" Pioneer subwoofer with a 222 Sony Xplod amp to my Jimmy. The only problem I have is that I still have the factory radio/cassette player in my truck. The manual said to install connect it to my auxillary power supply since my radio player is not ampable. Where can I find the auxillary power and how do I connect it? This is the only problem I have.

Thank You.

PS-if you have anymore advice on hooking up the sub please do so.

What they mean by auxiliary power is power controlled by the ignition switch. that way when you shut the jimmy off, the amp shuts off as well. I can't tell ou specifically which wire you can use, but with a voltmeter, you should be able to find one by measuring voltages on each power wire with the key off and on.

good luck

Mabe you could tap off a 12v hot wire and connect it to a switch and just flip a switch to give your amp power. I did the same thing to my little brothers 86 blazer 4x4. It was nice because we were the only ones who knew about it. He could lend out his blazer and not worrie about others messing up his woofers, amps, crossover, mids and highs.
