Does anyone know where I can get some cheap and maybe used 410 gearing for my Dana 44 and 9 1/4 rear end? my 360 will push 35s with stock 3.55 gearing but it grunts on takeoff. I'm gettin around 8mpg so I work to pay for gas. it would be a big help. thanks.

4.10 will hardly be noticed. With 35's try 4.88, aw sheit, you probably don't have overdrive? If you do have overdrive, you would be really happy with 4.88. So you lose top end, do you really need to drive over 90 in a 4X4?

Ha Yah I got over drive. I drive a 95 extended cab 1500. I'm gettin tired of the little two wheel drive cars and trucks smoking me on take off. I top out at 95mph right now anyways. I just thought that anything higher then 4.56 was too much gear.

my 305/65-17's measure out to 32" and I have 4.88's. I'm at 2800'ish rpm doin 75. I got 20mpg on our Oregon trip last year. This is with a 4.7L Tundra with ZERO aerodynamics

modern fuel injection gets good mileage even higher up in the volumetric efficeincy range.
